EPOS-DAAD scholarship

The University of Bonn is the former capital of Germany and is home to many well-known and renowned organizations that have high stakes in the field of international cooperation and collaboration. Among different non-governmental institutions such as the Welthungerhilfe, public organizations such as the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), and different German federal ministries. Also, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and internationally eminent research institutions like the Centre for Development Research (ZEF) and the German Development Institute (DIE) are located in the UN-city of Bonn, Germany.

EPOS-DAAD Scholarships are offered by the German government and each University has its different regulations. Please note that the applicants who are accepted for university can apply for scholarships before the deadline. Also, the conditions of admission applications and scholarship applications are different. We strongly recommend that applicants should read all the university and scholarship requirements and regulations carefully.

  • We require an excellent master’s or equivalent degree (GPA higher than 3.0 in the American system, or a grade higher than 2.0 in the German system or equivalent).
  • Your last academic degree should have been obtained relatively recently before application.
  • Non-native English speakers must provide an English language proficiency certificate or letter.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related/ relevant academic field for the master’s program.
  • The majority of all achieved academic performances must be related to the application program
  • Non-native English speakers must prove proficiency in the English language.

 Scholarship Coverage

  1. Master’s students:
    Monthly stipend: Up to 861 Euro per month and waivers of tuition and credit fees.
  2. Doctoral students:
    Monthly stipend: Up to 1200 Euro per month and waivers of tuition and credit fees.
